Adult Mediterranean Gull at Deeping Lakes

This adult Mediterranean Gull has been at Deeping Lakes the last few days, perhaps the same bird that has been at another local gravel pit displaying to Black-headed Gulls. If so it finally appears to have given up. A great looking bird.

Cattle Egret again

I first found this Cattle Egret at Deeping Lakes exactly a month ago (19th April) and to me, the bird appears to have got into better condition. On Sunday 19th it showed well on the East Pit.

Mid-May Whimbrel on the patch

This rather obliging worm gobbling Whimbrel was found by John Pasrsonage on Friday 10th May on the Pet Refuge car park. It remained all weekend, occasionally being flushed onto the East Pit of Deeping Lakes.
