Woodpeckers are famous for their incredibly long tongues, and the Freiston Wryneck was a proper licker! Hoovering up ants with its long tongue, it was incredibly efficient — sitting on ant hills until full before having a little doze on a nearby perch. What a bird! Still plenty more photos to come.
